First it was official. Then it wasn't official. Now it's not official but close to being official.
Dave Matter is reporting that MU will likely make an announcement that they have signed HCGP to a contract extension early next week but nothing has been finalized so the university wants to hold off on making any sort of announcement. Exactly as I suspected.
Matter was also kind enough to include this video of the Tigers receiving their Big 12 North Championship trophy. I love hearing Willy Mo leading the chant in the huddle at the end. Doesn't get more genuine than that.
I wonder if kU had a similar celebration when they were given their Big 12 North "Co-Champs" trophy last year.

Forde is always spot on compared to some others in the biz. Plus, he's a Mizzou guy and probably has some strong sources in the room somewhere.
Forde is d-bagesque if you are a fan of another team. But I agree that he is a pretty solid writer and one of the best sans school ties. He has his bias, but the four letter word could do so much worse.
A bias for Mizzou? You gotta be kidding me. If anything he's quick to rip on Mizzou.
