The 'Copter has landed.
I'll admit that I'm kind of a closet Chiefs fan. Not really gay for them, but one of the radio stations in our group is a Chiefs affiliate, and I guess I can't call them the "Queefs" anymore. One thing they have going for them is that they backed the Brinks truck up for Will Franklin and signed him to a four year deal today. With the crappy Chiefs wideout corp, Franklin has a good shot at starting along with last year's top pick, Dwayne Bowe. Last year, DB won me more money than Tron's reparation check in my fantasy league. With Bowe on one side and Franklin on the other, Mitch Holthus might be screaming more than he does now. I'll let HMW take the Fantasy side on Franklin.
It hasn't been announced how much cash Franklin will be making, but guaranteed, it's more than what you and I make. 'Nuff said.

nope, that doesn't help. i still don't know who they are.
if will grasps the herm edwards 3-and-out system, he's got a good chance to start from the get-go. if he expects to catch balls from brody croyle for more than 20 yards downfield, he's wasting his time.
the good thing is that the chiefs are going to suck this year (despite nailing their draft), so he should get plenty of PT in garbage time. he won't do much fantasy-wise this year, but could be a nice play in '09 with a year under his belt and possibly new QB and coach - assuming they don't land Crabtree in the '09 draft if he decides to make the jump.
-i probably should have saved that for its own post closer to football season, so hopefully no one read all that...
Sippio was an Arena Leaguer the season before if that tells you anything about the Chiefs.
Croyle is nasty.
