Just a quick announcement to the millions of Mizzourah fans out there that HMW, along with The Good Face from bertflex.com fame will be on hand in Columbia this Saturday for the big 'Huskers/Tigers ballgame...that is, assuming it stops raining for more than 10 minutes so they can squeeze the game in.
To mark the occasion, I went to a quaint local mall here in St. Louis called Northwest Plaza (Big Head knows what I'm talking about), and into Steve & Barry's to buy my first ever Mizzou t-shirt, just so I fit in with the other Tiger faithful on Saturday. That is the store that has the random assortment of college team gear for under $10, not to mention a couple huge rows worth of Starbury apparel. I'm not talking a few racks of shirts, but like 1,000+ square feet of cheap crap with Stephon Marbury's name on it.
Anyway, if you want to mingle with a prestigious blogger like myself, along with a Sporting News Fantasy Expert, let us know. I kindly ask: no autograph requests, but compliments and invites to your apartment are encouraged. Hopefully we'll be able to see Big XII pitcher of the week Kyle Gibson in action (probably too early to start calling him "Gibby," right?). Big Head will be watching the game in Omaha on PBS, the official "network" of Nebraska baseball, unless it's preempted by Antiques Roadshow.

PBS doesn't even have the games this weekend, which pisses me off. I figured I could watch a little Reading Rainbow for the pregame and then watch some pinging. It's an edumakacion and some bawwwling.
Instead, Sunday's game is on FSN.
I should include that some Husker and Creighton games are on 62-Ohhh. No, it's not channel 620; it's the digital portion of WOWT (channel 6), so it's 6.2. That my friend, is a bad channel.
If it's Gibson/Johnny Dorn, you'll have a good matchup. Dorn is either going on Saturday or Sunday.
I haven't made my annual Steve and Barry's trip (cheap shorts). Do they still have $10 Starbury shoes?
And Northwest? Wow. That's all I have to say about that.
yeah, there are about 6 stores left in northwest plaza...and i'm not exaggerating too much. there are a few gold chain and cell phone kiosks, but that's about all that's left.
steve & barry's had any kind of starbury merchandise you could ever dream of. (think along the lines of the krusty home pregnancy kit on the simpsons)
they had tons of fake pleather college team jackets, with plenty of gross schools to choose from. if you're not into that, they had some wwe and degeneration-x jackets too. plus, for the ladies, they had some new brand by sarah jessica parker, which took up half the store.
Nortwest Plaza used to have a belt store called "The Belt Store".
Makes Alton Square (or Crossroads for fellow Omahan's) look like the Galleria.
