Crow Knows Baseball

Aaron Crow was too much for Ole Miss earlier today, as the Tigers won the first game of the Coral Gables regional 7-0. Crow went the distance giving up 3 hits and 5 walks, with 10 K's. Without looking at stats (always recommended), Mississippi's offense looked amazing on paper - mostly because of their last names. If your name is Logan Power or Brett Basham, we expect more than 10 homers in 430 combined at bats.

Up next for Mizzou is #1 Miami. The U took down Bethune-Cookman 7-4, and it's interesting that the game was tied at 4 going into the bottom of the 6th. They let 'em off the hook!! (My sources are telling me that Jemile Weeks and Yonder Alonso were hanging out with some of Coral Gables' finest "experienced" ladies at the one of the local retirement centers Thursday night, so they weren't at the top of their game). Catch the action Saturday at 3pm Central on ESPN U. Hopefully for Big Head's entertainment, color commentator Brian Jordan will get another day to work out the kinks:

"If you erase all the hits this inning, it went down 1-2-3"

I'm thinking about putting our entire email straind on here, almost like a shitty LiveBlog attempt. There was some pretty good stuff in there. I may subtract the Aaron Crow/Eight Belles reference.
