I’m feeling a little queasy about this week’s game. Am I waiting for the Mizzou of old to show up and screw the pooch for the rest of the year only to end up in the Champs Sports Bowl? Or is this a squad that will recover from an outstanding game and still
have a shot at the Big 12 Title? I’m hoping for the latter, but coming off a loss, I’d rather skull-fuck Iowa State like we will next week. This week we play a team that has received no respect on this blog in Texas Tech. It’s my fault that I jinxed Tech into winning. I said a few weeks ago that they wouldn’t win another game (they’re 2-0 since), so let’s hope a little Raider love will bring them down, Corso Style!
-Last week TT stifled a great pair of backs in ATM’s Jovorskie Lane and Mike Goodson. News coming from Columbia is that Tony Temple is out with a bruised ego, so we’ll be rocking to the music of Derrick Washington and Jimmy Jackson. You can take Temple being out as either good or bad. He’s sucked this year. It makes me jones for the days of Marcus Woods, like you needed that going thru your head. Temple is decent at pass blocking, but that’s about it. Washington and Jackson are better rushers. In the OU game, Earl Goldsmith was as worthless as a third nipple, so don’t expect much PT against Tech. With Temple out last week, it led to more passing. How does that passing offense usually work out for Mizzou? Pretty damn good.
-To nobody’s surprise, Tech’s passing offense is very good. Michael Crabtree is Jeremy Maclin minus some speed. Crabtree gets a ton of passes though. Watch for him. Graham Harrell is a good QB, but he’s no Chase Daniel. Both are up for Heisman loving.
-Over the past few seasons, Tech has been less dependable on the road than Sleezy’s shitty S-10 with the camper shell. Faurot should be rockin’, which means some trouble for Tech right off the bat. Just like Chase, Graham Harrell relies on check downs. If Faurot is loud, he’ll have to scream louder than my girlfriend does when I turn off Sex in the City. I’m hoping for a raucous crowd like the Nebraska game.
-Mizzou’s defense last week was good for the most part. The late fumble screwed up the stats and gave OU the winning score. OU always had great field position to start out, so you could have easily knocked 14 points off the defenses mark with that alone. If Pig Brown and the rest of our defense discovered that they have hands this week, we could have several turnovers. Tech sells out to the pass to the wide outs, while the Tigers have a couple of things called “tight ends” and a pimp named Maclin.
With Temple out, I would expect a few reverses to Maclin to keep Tech on their toes. I wouldn’t be surprised to rip off a couple of big runs because, unlike A&M, we don’t rely on our rushing attack as our only offense. Tech banked on the run happening, and they guessed correctly. It looked like Tecmo Bowl, which I think is where Franchione got his playbook.
-Side dap to Tech fans. Being a Mizzou fan, I don’t stumble across too many Missouri blogs. Not to sound like a dick, but I think the only other Mizzou blog that I see linked to other sites than ours is the great Rock M Nation. Tech fans blog outta their minds! Make sure you hit up Disco Tech. They do a good job. For some reason, we here at Mizzourah have some dedicated Tech readers. So that’s where the death threats are coming from? In all honesty, I’ve known Tech was a good team, but I wanted to stick with my prediction of having them collapse like they (and Mizzou) seem to do (Side Note- I was 100% correct on Nebraska sucking hind tit). At this point, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Tech won the south with a couple upsets. Texas has looked like a dusty turd this season, and Oklahoma had trouble with our spread offense, which is fairly similar to Tech. A couple of bounces our way and we’d be undefeated, but I digress.
With that being said, it’s going to be a shootout. I’m sticking with my prediction of a Mizzou win, 42-24. I’m glad this game is at Faurot. Tech hasn’t won in Columbia in years, and that shouldn’t change. The score could (and probably will) be closer, but I’m banking on a pair of picks from Pig Brown. Either a pair of picks or he may shank Michael Crabtree for getting open. Let’s just hope for the INTs and that this game isn’t decided by who has the ball last. If that happens, I may throw something thru my new DLP TV, which would be catastrophic in the Man Cave. Mizzou seems to have Tech’s number the past few years, and it shouldn’t change. Mizzou will pillage the village against Tech and get back on the road to the Big 12 title game.
And if you are scoring at home that’s five (5!!) positive Tech pieces on this post alone. Did I Corso them enough to lose?

Dude. I like your blog, but did you just say that Michael Crabtree is Jeremy Maclin but with less speed? Maclin will be cleaning Crabtree's pool in 5 years.
The way Crabtree is playing today, he won't be able to afford a kiddie pool from K-Mart.
Sammy... If your TT QB keeps leaving Crabtree out to dry over the middle, he will be pissing blood in his kiddie pool
Sammy does a kick ass husker blog (DXP), not a Techie, unless it's a closet Techie.
I agree that Crabtree should be pissing blood though. He didn't even go for the ball in the 4th qtr. Lots of drops to him.
